Like a bewitching magic carpet, woven with threads of power, class, race, and gender, Hamlet Ride is Concrete Temple Theatre’s haunting new trip. Everyone has an assigned seat and a role to play… as long as they submit to the rules. In this 21st century reimagining of Hamlet, the prince returns home to attend father’s funeral as their true self, Hamletta. Centering a non-binary perspective while rallying those of us who still believe in humanity, equality, and truth, Hamlet Ride takes audiences on a fantastical voyage that celebrates differences without labels, and respect without judgment.
