It’s 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia. Boolie’s aging mother, Daisy, has crashed her car, and he insists that it’s time she get herself a driver. He hires a 60-year-old unemployed black man named Hoke Coleburn who spends the next 25 years driving “Miss Daisy”. While the two are initially wary of one another, and though they come from utterly different backgrounds, they wind up forging an unshakeable bond of mutual love and respect.
