Colleen McCracken, an immigrant, ex-con, and survivor of domestic abuse, invites us into her sewing shop where she introduces us (through subtle impersonation) to Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Kennedy, Lady Bird Johnson, and Mary Todd Lincoln in Ginger Grace’s one-woman show “The First Ladies Coalition”, coming to Catskill’s Bridge Street Theatre for three performances only, February 21-23, 2020.

Over the course of 90 minutes, audiences view American history through Colleen’s eyes and discover how each of these four First Ladies wound up altering the course of history simply by speaking out, even when attempts were made to suppress them. And with their help, Colleen learns how to turn her life of seemingly impossible obstacles into one of extraordinary possibility.

“These courageous women, especially in Ginger Grace’s phenomenal performance, are a perfect fit for the over-arching theme of Bridge Street’s 2020 Season, ‘American Roots’,” says John Sowle, BST’s Artistic and Managing Director. “And how singularly fitting that these First Ladies should show up on our stage the weekend immediately following President’s Day!”
